Upcoming Collector Car Shows in Ontario

Summer is an exciting season when you own a collector car. Not only does the warmer weather give you more hours to work on your older car, but you have plenty of collector car shows to look forward to as well. No matter where you live in Ontario, you are sure to find at least a few shows a reasonable drive from your neighbourhood.

Below are the dates, locations, and times for several collector car shows in Ontario. You can register to show off your own vehicle or just admire the work of other collectors. Either way, you will have fun interacting with old and new friends who share your enthusiasm for restoring collector cars.

June 2, Oshawa

Ontario Motor Sales located in Oshawa hosts the Dreamvettes Corvettes and GM Show on Sunday, June 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The car show will take place no matter the weather conditions that day. Volunteers from Ontario Motor Sales present best in class trophies at the end of the show. Participants entering a classic car in the show need to pay a $20 fee per vehicle. The Dreamvettes Corvettes and GM Show also features:

• 50-50 draw
• Door prizes
• Food vendors
• Live DJ
• Raffle
• Silent auction

Ontario Motor Sales will donate part of the proceeds from the event to the Lakeridge Health Cancer Care Centre in Oshawa.

June 15, Delhi

The Delhi BIA hosts the 15th Annual Ford Mustang Car Show on Saturday, June 15, from 10 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Participants who plan to display their classic car should arrive by 8:00 A.M. and will need to pay a $15 entrance fee. Spectators do not need to pay a fee. To get to the Ford Mustang Car Show, take the Main Street entrance off Church Street West and Queen Street.

July 14, Aylmer

A car show hosted by the Odd Wheel Car Club takes place on Sunday, July 14 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Aylmer Fairgrounds and Swap Meet. The address of the fairgrounds is 139 Pine Street East. Admission is $10 for participants and spectators ages 13 and up with free admission for children ages 12 and under.

July 28, Merrickville

The Merrickville Classic Car Show hosts an all-day event at the Merrickville Fairgrounds, located at 106 Read Street, on Sunday, July 28. Besides classic cars, those who have restored trucks, firetrucks, race cars, sports cars, rat rods, and custom cars are also welcome to enter their vehicle in the competition. Here are some other activities you might enjoy while looking at your favourite restored vehicles:

• Hourly door prizes
• Live music
• Pinstriping demonstrations
• Professional photographers onsite
• Show stickers
• Thunder Alley contest

Admission is $10 per car.

August 8 and 9, Bothwell

This two-day event at Victoria Park in Bothwell features vendor booths on Thursday, August 8 and a classic car show with vendors on Friday, August 9. Registration begins at 8:00 A.M. on both days. The address for Victoria Park is 498 Elm Street. Several local service clubs are sponsoring the event, along with the Bothwell Optimist Club. Old Autos Newspapers is hosting the classic car show.

August 29 (and every Thursday all summer long), Southampton

If you didn’t have a chance to get to a Cruiser Cruise Nite earlier in the summer, Thursday, August 29 is your last opportunity for 2024. The event lasts from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and features antique, classic and collector cars. You will also enjoy a 50-50 draw and live music throughout the event. Look for the vehicle show on Millard Boulevard, located in downtown Southampton.
