A one-time payment equivalent to 20 per cent of three months’ premium was sent to customers by cheque and will have no detrimental impact to future premiums or coverage. This was mailed out in May, if you did not receive this, please contact our office.
Many of our customers are now temporarily working from home. While property policies do not provide coverage for business pursuits at home, Gore Mutual is temporarily providing personal liability and business property coverage up to $5,000 on all their existing home policies.
No action is required by customers insured with Gore Mutual for home insurance. There is no charge or additional premium and coverage will be effective until Friday, July 31, 2020.
Gore Mutual is temporarily suspending policy termination for non-payment of premium. They are offering flexible payment options on a case-by-case basis and are temporarily waiving NSF fees. Please contact us to discuss your options. Please note that financial institutions may still charge a separate fee for NSF. Gore Mutual has advised they will be offering payment flexibility and waived NSF fees until April 30, 2020. After that, they will continue to monitor the impact of the pandemic and explore new flexible payment options on a case-by-case basis including payment deferral without penalty.
